The Owl Drug Store
Located at the corner of Mountain and College avenues in spacious premises, able purity and reliability and, submeasuring 30x80 feet. We find the store elegantly fitted with handsome polished cherry fixtures, modern soda fountain, and stocked to the value of about $10,000 with pure and fresh drugs and other articles to be found in a first class drug establishment. The business was established eight years ago and the store is now the most popular of its kind in the city. The proprietors have been alive to the fact that the public nowadays insist on receiving merchandise of indisputable quality and supplying accordingly, have been rewarded by that success which is alone procurable by honest and responsible dealings. The members of the company are Mr. W. P. Hurley and Mr. E. F. Livernash. Both are recognized as able and competent pharmacists and druggists and as careful and faithful prescriptionists. They are young men who are energetic, intelligent and wide-awake, whose unfailing courtesy and absolute integrity have won for them a well merited reputation and a prosperous and steadily increasing business. Both are leaders in local fraternal circles, being affiliated with the Elks, Maccabees and other lodges. They are enthusiastic citizens ever interested in all efforts aimed at the amelioration of the city and prosperity of its citizens.

An important and leading ladies' goods emporium is that conducted by Mrs. E. E. Calvert, dealer in stylish millinery and ladies novelties, who has an elegantly fitted and finely stocked store in the Masonic Temple block at No. 147 West Mountain avenue. She has been in business about a year and has succeeded in procuring a very fair and thriving trade, due to her stylish and reliable goods, an affability of manner, and an ever-ready disposition to oblige and accommodate her patrons. Mrs. Calvert is a conservative business woman who well deserves success to crown her commendable enterprising spirit.
