DescriptionLady Catherine Moon was born Grattan Lawder in 1865 and came from Ireland to Iowa in 1877. Moved to Livermore, Colorado area in 1883. She married Sir Cecil Moon, English baronet, in 1888; and later they were divorced. She owned a Livermore ranch of 2100 acres, and spent her last years in Fort Collins. Homer Croy's novel, "The Lady from Colorado, " is based on her life.
