DescriptionDifferent moods-Phillip Martinez stands soberly at Edora Park War Memorial while Johnny Vasquez, 3, smiles from behind his grandfather's rifle during Memorial Day ceremonies Monday. The 1944 monument built by the American War Dads on Laporte Avenue was deactivated December 7, 1989. A new Veteran's Memorial was built at Edora Park that included the names of the World War I, World War II, Korean, and Vietnam soldiers who were killed in action. There are 321 names on the Fort Collins, Colorado monument.
